Treehouse Labs: Rethinking the Classroom

What if the forest could become a classroom?

Treehouse Labs was an ambitious vision for Tacoma Public Schools and Point Defiance Park, bringing together Metro Parks Tacoma and Nelson Treehouse, the team behind Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters, to reimagine outdoor education.

I conceived, shot, and edited this fundraising film, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to bring the vision to life and inspire donor investment. Production took me to Utah to interview world-renowned forest ecologist and National Geographic Explorer Nalini Nadkarni, whose groundbreaking research helped tell the story of what learning among the treetops could become.

The film was created to generate excitement, build support, and help secure the funding needed to turn this ambitious concept into reality.
